Halifax’s Bankfield Museum is currently holding a special free exhibition dedicated to “A Century of Cycling” and Pedalsport have been closely involved in putting it together.
We’re only a couple of miles away from the museum and supplied a number of items of contemporary cycling equipment, including helmets and shoes, to the exhibition.
The exhibition runs from now until 9th August and the Museum is open 10am – 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday. The address is Boothtown Road, Halifax, HX3 6HG.
This is what the Yorkshire Festival 2014 website has to say about the exhibition:
“The exhibition celebrates the greatest bike race in the world through Calderdale and features a penny farthing, boneshaker and other bicycle related objects from the Calderdale Collections. These will be displayed alongside contemporary racing bikes from le Tour de France.
Exercise bikes are also available in the museum for visitors to ‘ride the route’ with a projected image of the race through Calderdale.
Education workshops for schools with events and activities for families will support the exhibition.”
